The honest part
This calculator will not tell you what you earn per copy, what your read-through is, or what your page reads are worth. Those come from your own royalty reports, because they are different for every author, every retailer and every price point — and a tool that guesses them for you is selling you a number, not giving you one.
Getting those three figures out of KDP is its own skill: how to read KDP reports shows which report actually measures what, and KDP royalties tracking covers keeping them current. Once you have the number, the five levers is the honest list of what moves it.
Where our numbers come from
These tools are free and they invent nothing — every figure they return is arithmetic on a number you typed. The paid product is different: it runs on data we count ourselves, and we publish the count rather than round it.
Measured from live Perfect Year HQ records on 21 August 2026 (internal audit run IN-0777-2026-08-21). Counts cover active paying accounts only, as whole-population aggregates. We never name a client and we never publish a client's book, plan or sales.
Free tools elsewhere in the family
Perfect Year HQ is one of five sites run by Coral Hart Group on a shared reader-demand spine. These are the other genuinely free tools and data views.
